Responsibilities of Network Administrator II:
Provides Tier-3 support due to infrastructure incidents
Resolves root cause of incidents, escalating when necessary
Installs, configures and maintains corporate, development and production network devices
Troubleshoots problems affecting network hardware or services
Actively monitors corporate, development and production networking services
Manages network services as specified by Wireless Generation`s security policy and procedures
Audits and maintains network devices and services documentation
Performs configuration backup and restore
Tests and performs Disaster Recovery procedures
Carries out Standard Change Requests
Off-hours on-call duties related to critical services
Responds to off-hours emergencies
Reviews Minor and Standard Change Requests
Communicates technical details to ITOps and Tech Leads
Requirements for Network Administrator II:
3-5 years of work experience
Strong knowledge of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)
Strong understanding of the OSI network model, LAN/WANstandards and different network devices (Switching, Routing, Firewall,IDS/IPS, NAC)
Desirable: CCNP
